The Best Time to Use Voice Is When Your Hands Are Full

Practical moments where talking beats typing, and the one place it still does not work well.

WWillBuilds Vera, in Melbourne

Typing is fine at a desk. A surprising amount of life is not at a desk, and that is where holding to talk changes when you reach for the app at all.

The moments that actually work

Stopped at a light and remembering something. Cooking with your hands covered. Walking home and adding to the list. Between sets at the gym. In each of these the alternative is not typing, it is forgetting.

Each of them sounds like themselves

Every character has their own voice, so who you open changes how it sounds as well as what it says. Late at night that matters more than it sounds like it should.

Where it is still weak

Long, complicated instructions. Anything with a list in it. Voice is good for one thought at a time and it is honest to say the typing is better for the rest.

On the free plan

There are a few minutes a month included so you can hear what it is like before deciding anything. Pro raises it considerably.
